I had to realize the layout design for an entire magazine from the row articles, take myself the photos, elaborate a commercial page for the brand Swatch® and create icons for the horoscope section. The public of the mag are the women aged between 30 to 60 years old.
I had first found the name for the magazine: "Libérée ! de tout complexe", which translated to "Free! from any complex" is a great name for the aimed public (and it is also a "private joke" about an old French song: "Femme libérée - Cookie Dingler"), then I proceed to design the logo.
Next I had read all of the articles, to know what they talk about and to set the different photo shootings out (by the way, the pictures for the section about Iceland were found on the internet, our teacher had obviously allowed it only for this article). After, I inspired myself by looking at some existing magazine to catch that spirit, and then, beginning to lay out my magazine by making it the most probable as possible. I had tried multiple ideas to make each article a little bit unique compared to the others but not too diverse: I have to make a uniform magazine in the end. I have learned how to use the paragraphs styles at a bigger scale by laying the text out, being organized and practical is the best way to benefit from it. I also created a mascot to bring a little life in the mag.
